Intimate House Wedding in Agadir

This house wedding in Agadir was such a special celebration and we love the intimate feel of this wedding.

We were super honored when Mehdi and Kenza contacted to photograph their intimate house wedding in Agadir! We first met these two at Crossfit Agadir and were thrilled when we heard they were getting married.

These two are such a great match for each other and we love they made their wedding day so uniquely theirs. The wedding was held at Kenza’s family’s home in Agadir. Between the inside of the home and their beautiful garden there was enough space for all of the guests while still keeping an intimate feel. It created a vibe that felt very personal and made it easy for guests to mingle with one another.

Kenza got ready at her home with other female family members. Pauline from Brooklyn Mama’s did her hair and makeup. We always love working with Pauline and watching how she highlights the bride’s best features. We will say it a million times – it is worth every cent to to hire a makeup artist who knows how to apply makeup for photography and how to expertly apply it to each client in a way that is flattering and natural. We’ve never had a client whose regretted hiring a talented makeup artist, but brides do regret when they hire makeup artist who doesn’t have the skills to apply makeup in a way that appears natural in photos and also highlights their best features.

As Kenza was getting ready, Mehdi got ready with some friends at one of his friends houses. Both Mehdi and Kenza were so calm and relaxed on their wedding day and we think this owes to careful planning and lots of help from family members. And probably also part of their personalities as well!

As the sun began to set guests began arriving at the wedding. There was a traditional band that welcomed the guests. Inside local band Naji Soul played a mix of jazz and contemporary music throughout the evening. There was also a DJ and the band played at different points during the wedding as well. We love this mix of music, as there was really something for each guest to enjoy.

It almost goes without saying that there was lots of dancing the whole evening! This started as soon as Mehdi made his entrance at the wedding. Later on, Kenza made her entrance in the Amaria. Mehdi and Kenza purposefully planned their evening so as to maximize time spent with guests and enjoying their wedding day. This meant that Kenza made just three dress changes, which is really an ideal number if you want to be sure to have time on the dance floor and with your guests.

Their guests were from all over and as many of them knew each other, it really added to the celebratory feel. In lieu of guests signing a guest book, they signed within in large frame. We love this idea (ok, we’re sort of bias since we did the same idea for our wedding) and it will be a beautiful memory to hang in their home!

They also made an entrance in the doura and for their final entrance Kenza wore a white takchita. Before cutting their wedding cake, they did an exchange of wedding rings, which is a really special touch to include.

All in all, it was a really fun night of celebrating the life that these two are beginning together as a married couple and we felt so honored to be able to capture it!

*As per client’s request we are only posting a select few photos which do not show faces.
