Yogi Surfer Agadir Wedding

We had so much fun photographing Shane and Kathryn’s relaxed destination wedding in Morocco! Both met in LA, where they currently live and share a love of surfing and traveling. For two surf lovers, what could be more perfect than getting married in the surf capital of Morocco at a venue called Yogi Surfer?!

Kathryn and Shane had traveled to Morocco separately before and it seemed like the perfect sunny location for a destination wedding. They invited some of their closest friends and it made for a very intimate celebration. Annabelle from Comme Une Histoire was their wedding planner and this always helps the wedding day to run smoothly when you’ve got an experienced planner in charge!

Both Shane and Kathryn got ready at Yogi Surfer. When their guests arrived they were greeted by a traditional Marrakechi band. A close friend of the couple officiated the ceremony, which was held in the atrium of Yogi Surfer. We love how personal the ceremony was, which included Shane and Kathryn sharing their story and what they love and respect about the other person.

Following the ceremony was cocktail hour on the roof, with a view of the sun setting over the ocean. Dinner was catered by Yogi Surfer and included some Moroccan classics like tajine and couscous.

After dinner Shane and Kathryn had their first dance, which they had choreographed and we were super impressed! Then the dance floor opened up to everyone else!

Later on they did a cake cutting down in the atrium and the ‌celebrations‌ and dancing continued.

We love how well the day reflected Shane and Kathryn and the relaxed, celebratory vibe of the day!
