Bahia Palace Engagement Photoshoot in Marrakech

This Bahia Palace engagement photoshoot in Marrakech was really special to photograph and we always love photoshoots in Marrakech!

Can you visit Marrakech as an engaged couple and NOT do a photoshoot? Should you even? We don’t think so! We were thrilled to take engagement photos of Reda and Jackie during their trip to Morocco. While it was Jackie’s first time in Morocco, Reda’s family is originally from Morocco and he still has extended family here. In Casablanca, his family held a traditional engagement party for the couple before they traveled to Marrakech.

Reda and Jackie both live in Boston and met there through an online dating website and quickly hit it off. Reda proposed to Jackie on a gondola in Italy – major points there, Reda! They are planning their wedding for 2020.

We started the photoshoot in the Bahia Palace. Reda and Jackie both wore traditional Moroccan wedding attire and drew the admiring eye of many of tourists. Bahia Palace has intricate traditional architecture and tiles and makes for a beautiful backdrop.

From there we went back to their Riad to get some more intimate shots. If you stay in the Marrakech medina, it’s a must that you stay in a traditional Riad!

After they changed outfits, we headed back into the crowded medina. We love the juxtaposition of quiet, tender moments between Reda and Jackie, and the bustle of the medina. We ended the photoshoot at Jemaa el-Fnaa.

We had a lot of fun with these two and wish them all the best in their upcoming marriage!

Thanks for visiting us!

Unfortunately we are no longer in Morocco and are taking a break from wedding photography.

We want to thank all our couples over the years who we have had the opportunity to capture their special love stories! We feel so honoured to have been apart of your special day!

Feel free to continue looking around our website.

For us we are taking a break and returning to North America for a period of time, after that we intend to move to Italy (Lord willing).

Thanks again,

Richard and Marisa
