Emile & Emilie’s Beach Wedding at Paradis Plage

Beautiful beach wedding photography at Paradis Plage in Agadir

Emile and Emilie couldn’t have picked a more beautiful day for their beach wedding. It was a cloudless May day with just enough of a breeze to keep the heat down. Because their wedding took place during the month of Ramadan (the Islamic holiday where Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset) the beach was uncommonly empty. They held the wedding at Paradis Plage, which is just outside of Agadir along the beautiful coastline.

Both from France, Emile and Emilie met through work in Paris a few years ago. They decided to have a destination wedding in Morocco and many friends and family were able to fly down to join them. It was an intimate group and there was so much excitement for these two.

We loved getting to know Emile and Emilie and found them to be such a fun and down to earth couple. Despite the fact that they said they didn’t like to be in front of a camera, they were complete naturals and we loved just capturing them interacting with each other.

On the day of their wedding, Emilie’s sister did her makeup and Pauline from Brooklyn Mama’s did her hair. Meanwhile, Emile got ready with his cousin.

Paradis Plage organized all of the details for the wedding and the day ran so smoothly. Enough cannot be said for the merits of having a great wedding planner to coordinate all of the details! It really takes the stress off of the bride and groom when everything is well organized and there’s a wedding planner to handle all of the details.

The ceremony took place right in front of the ocean and was just breathtaking. Two good friends officiated the wedding ceremony. Both parents shared during the ceremony along with Emile’s brothers. Emile and Emilie each wrote something to share as well. It was a very meaningful ceremony and there were definitely a few teary eyes.

Following the ceremony was a relaxed cocktail hour and we were able to capture some beautiful sunset photos with the bride and groom. Then everyone moved to the tent where the reception took place. The reception was an absolute blast with great speeches, fun dancing, a hilarious video created by some of Emile and Emilie’s friends, and exquisite food catered by Paradis Plage. Emilie’s father even serenaded the group with an Italian ballad – it was an incredibly special moment.

One of our favorite moments from the wedding was the cake cutting. You’ll have to scroll down through the pictures to see why, but it was definitely our favorite cake cutting to date and these two know how to have a good time at their wedding!

It was one of those weddings that you just leave with massive grins and full hearts. It was also a wedding that we could not narrow down our favorite photos – just too many moments that we love!

Mehdi & Kenza’s Wedding

Wedding photography at villa in Agadir

We were super honored when Mehdi and Kenza contacted us about photographing their wedding. We first met these two at Crossfit Agadir and were thrilled when we heard they were getting married.

These two are such a great match for each other and we love they made their wedding day so uniquely theirs. The wedding was held at Kenza’s family’s home in Agadir. Between the inside of the home and their beautiful garden there was enough space for all of the guests while still keeping an intimate feel. It created a vibe that felt very personal and made it easy for guests to mingle with one another.

Kenza got ready at her home with other female family members. Pauline from Brooklyn Mama’s did her hair and makeup. We always love working with Pauline and watching how she highlights the bride’s best features. We will say it a million times – it is worth every cent to to hire a makeup artist who knows how to apply makeup for photography and how to expertly apply it to each client in a way that is flattering and natural. We’ve never had a client whose regretted hiring a talented makeup artist, but brides do regret when they hire makeup artist who doesn’t have the skills to apply makeup in a way that appears natural in photos and also highlights their best features.

As Kenza was getting ready, Mehdi got ready with some friends at one of his friends houses. Both Mehdi and Kenza were so calm and relaxed on their wedding day and we think this owes to careful planning and lots of help from family members. And probably also part of their personalities as well!

As the sun began to set guests began arriving at the wedding. There was a traditional band that welcomed the guests. Inside local band Naji Soul played a mix of jazz and contemporary music throughout the evening. There was also a DJ and the band played at different points during the wedding as well. We love this mix of music, as there was really something for each guest to enjoy.

It almost goes without saying that there was lots of dancing the whole evening! This started as soon as Mehdi made his entrance at the wedding. Later on, Kenza made her entrance in the Amaria. Mehdi and Kenza purposefully planned their evening so as to maximize time spent with guests and enjoying their wedding day. This meant that Kenza made just three dress changes, which is really an ideal number if you want to be sure to have time on the dance floor and with your guests.

Their guests were from all over and as many of them knew each other, it really added to the celebratory feel. In lieu of guests signing a guest book, they signed within in large frame. We love this idea (ok, we’re sort of bias since we did the same idea for our wedding) and it will be a beautiful memory to hang in their home!

They also made an entrance in the doura and for their final entrance Kenza wore a white takchita. Before cutting their wedding cake, they did an exchange of wedding rings, which is a really special touch to include.

All in all, it was a really fun night of celebrating the life that these two are beginning together as a married couple and we felt so honored to be able to capture it!

Bridesmaid Beach Photoshoot in Agadir Morocco

Bridesmaid Beach photoshoot ideas from wedding photographer in Agadir

In April we did a fun photoshoot for ten friends celebrating a bachelorette party. These ladies all met while studying in university in France and their friend Sarah is the first of the group to be getting married – so it’s a big occasion!

The whole group traveled down to Agadir for the weekend to celebrate together. The bride to be, Sarah, will be getting married in July in France.

The nine bridesmaids all surprised Sarah with the photoshoot, which we did down at the Agadir beach. They even brought along some fun props to use during the photoshoot!

It was a fun capturing the friendship between these friends and we hope these photos help to preserve the memories from their special bachelorette party!

2019 Valentines Day Giveaway Photoshoot

Morocco photographer couple photoshoot agadir by Paragon Expressions

Valentines Day Photoshoot Giveaway – Khadija entered our annual Valentines Day Photoshoot giveaway and was the winner! Khadija and her husband won a two hour photoshoot in Agadir and it could not have been a more fun photoshoot!

Three years ago Mehdi and Khadija met a cooking event. They soon discovered that they had more in common than just a love of cooking! They got married not long after and the rest is history! Both are entrepreneurs and despite their busy schedules they prioritize spending time together; whether it’s exploring new places or trying new foods or even just experimenting in the kitchen!

For their photoshoot we took them a new spot in the mountains outside of Agadir. We love the privacy of the area and the gorgeous views on every side. The sunset over the mountains made for some incredible photos as well.

Mehdi and Khadija chose a chic urban theme for their outfits and we love how this juxtaposed with the majestic background. They were both naturals in front of the camera and the time went by quickly!

Hakim & Fatima’s Couple Photoshoot in Agadir

Couple photoshoot Agadir beach by Paragon Expressions, professional photographer Morocco

We love couple photoshoots in Agadir; especially ones right before or after a wedding, as couples have that beautiful newlywed glow. Glow is an understatement when it comes to newlywed couple Hakim and Fatima*!

Married just a few days before this Agadir photoshoot, these two are head over heels for each other! Seriously, we found ourselves grinning behind our cameras the whole time. Love is truly a wonderfully thing!

While both from Agadir, Hakim and Fatima met over Facebook through a mutual friend. A few years later, Hakim proposed to Fatima in Barcelona at a Jay-Z and Beyonce concert!

Hakim and Fatima coordinated very well for the photoshoot and we love details like Fatima’s flower crown and Hakim’s suspenders. Fatima’s dress also had the perfect swirl, and one of our favorite shots from the shoot captures this.

It was no surprise that we had a perfect clear and warm day for this Agadir beach photoshoot. Decembers in Agadir really are one of the best months to do a photoshoot! Hakim and Fatima were enthusiastic about trying anything we suggested and also came with a few creative ideas of their own!

We had a lot of fun with Hakim and Fatima and we wish these two all happiness in their life together!

Agadir Fashion Photoshoot with Sophie

Agadir fashion photoshoot by Paragon Expressions

Recently, we did a fashion photoshoot in Agadir with Sophie, a fashion blogger and personal stylist from Belgium.

Sophie is from Belgium, but came to Agadir on holiday and wanted a photoshoot of some new clothing and accessory items she is advertising for Danish designer Stella Nova, Lie. O Knitwear, Maison Hotel, and Une A Une. It was a really fun photoshoot and Sophie was up for anything we suggested!

For her first outfit, we started with some photos on the Agadir promenade and moved down to the shoreline. We love how perfectly the colors of the beach complimented her outfit.

For her second outfit, we took some photos along another side of the coastline where there is a small sand dune (who says you can’t get desert shots in Agadir!). The pinks in her outfit really popped with this backdrop and we love the juxtaposition of her outfit with the sand dunes.

We loved getting to know Sophie and hearing more about her business. If you’re looking for a personal stylist, you can check out her work here.

Moussa & Hayley’s Sidi Ifni Wedding

Photography of wedding in Sidi Ifni

We loved doing the wedding photography and video for a traditional Moroccan wedding in Sidi Ifni.

Moussa and Hayley’s wedding took place on a gorgeous September day on Sidi Ifni’s beautiful coastline. These two met on the Canary Islands, where they are also living. Moussa is from Morocco, the wedding was at his home in Sidi Ifni, and Hayley is from Scotland.

We love how they incorporated lots of elements from their home cultures and made their wedding uniquely theirs. Hayley’s mother and close friends traveled to Morocco to celebrate along Moussa’s family and friends. There was much dancing and laughter leading up to wedding and it carried on throughout the night.

Hayley wore four traditional takchitas and a white wedding gown. Hayley made her final entrance in her white wedding gown with her mother accompanying her to a bagpipe rendition of Amazing Grace. There were many happy tears as Hayley and Moussa exchanged rings and then had their first dance together.

The morning after Moussa and Hayley’s Sidi Ifni wedding, we did a romantic photoshoot with them on Legzira beach. It was a beautiful morning and we loved getting some photos of just the two of them.

For the beach photoshoot, Hayley wore her white wedding gown and Moussa wore his suite. Legzira’s remaining arch is the perfect backdrop for photos and we especially love the silhouette shots of them under the arch.

We shifted gears from romantic shots to some shots that really reflect Moussa and Hayley’s adventurous side as they opted to take a camel ride down the beach!

We had so much fun with Moussa and Hayley and it is so clear how well they compliment each other! We wish them all happiness in their marriage!

It was an incredibly special day and honor for us to do the wedding photography and video for this Sidi Ifni wedding.

Mohcine & Ikrame’s Agadir Maternity Photoshoot

Maternity photoshoot Agadir by Paragon Expressions

One of the most exciting times in a couples life is when they are preparing to welcome a new baby into their family. We were thrilled when our friends Mohcine and Ikrame told us they were expecting!

As they neared their baby’s due date, they wanted to capture this special time with a maternity photoshoot. For the photoshoot we went down to one of the beaches along Agadir’s coastline.

It was such a fun photoshoot, as we captured Mohcine and Ikrame’s fun-loving personalities and also the tender moments between them. We love the visible excitement and anticipation that these two have as they prepare to welcome their baby girl.

Ikrame brought along some of the baby’s future onesies, shoes and the ultrasound. We loved incorporating these into their photoshoot.

We know Mohcine and Ikrame are going to be incredible parents and it was an honor to help preserve the memories from this season in their life.

Mehdi & Narjiss’ Drib Sdak

Drib Sdak photography in Agadir

After doing an engagement photoshoot with Mehdi and Narjiss, we were even more excited to photograph their Drib Sdak a few days later.

Their Drib Sdak took place at the home of Narjiss’ parents in Agadir. Mehdi’s family traveled down from Casablanca and other family members came in from France and Tunisia.

Narjiss had her hair and makeup done by Pauline at Brooklyn Mama’s and then headed back to her parents house to finish getting ready. Mehdi got ready with his family and then they all arrived at Narjiss’ parents home. As is customary, Mehdi’s family accompanied him to the house with gifts and singing and Narjiss’ family was outside to welcome and greet them.

Inside Narjiss waited, in a beautiful, traditional Amazigh attire. The look on Narjiss and Mehdi’s faces when they first saw each other was priceless. As is tradition in Morocco, dates and milk were passed around, which are said to bring good luck and fertility.

The first part of the Sdak was held outside in the beautiful garden. Halfway through the ceremony, where the official marriage contract is signed with the Adoul (Moroccan notary) and witnesses, we were surprised by a quick rain shower. Everyone rushed indoors and the ceremony continued uninterrupted there. They say rain is good luck on a wedding day!

After the ceremony, there was tea, sweets, and dancing. Everyone was excited to celebrate!

Narjiss and Mehdi then went and changed into different outfits for the second half of the evening. Narjiss wore a beautiful kaftan and Mehdi a suit.

And then it was time for more dancing – because really, is it a celebration without dancing?!

Later on, everyone went back outside for family portraits and Mehdi and Narjiss exchanged wedding rings.

We loved the intimate feel of this Drib Sdak and being able to capture the joy and excitement of Mehdi and Narjiss’ marriage! There were so many special moments during this night and we were honored to capture them.
