One of the most exciting times in a couples life is when they are preparing to welcome a new baby into their family. We were thrilled when our friends Mohcine and Ikrame told us they were expecting!
As they neared their baby’s due date, they wanted to capture this special time with a maternity photoshoot. For the photoshoot we went down to one of the beaches along Agadir’s coastline.
It was such a fun photoshoot, as we captured Mohcine and Ikrame’s fun-loving personalities and also the tender moments between them. We love the visible excitement and anticipation that these two have as they prepare to welcome their baby girl.
Ikrame brought along some of the baby’s future onesies, shoes and the ultrasound. We loved incorporating these into their photoshoot.
We know Mohcine and Ikrame are going to be incredible parents and it was an honor to help preserve the memories from this season in their life.

After doing an engagement photoshoot with Mehdi and Narjiss, we were even more excited to photograph their Drib Sdak a few days later.
Their Drib Sdak took place at the home of Narjiss’ parents in Agadir. Mehdi’s family traveled down from Casablanca and other family members came in from France and Tunisia.
Narjiss had her hair and makeup done by Pauline at Brooklyn Mama’s and then headed back to her parents house to finish getting ready. Mehdi got ready with his family and then they all arrived at Narjiss’ parents home. As is customary, Mehdi’s family accompanied him to the house with gifts and singing and Narjiss’ family was outside to welcome and greet them.
Inside Narjiss waited, in a beautiful, traditional Amazigh attire. The look on Narjiss and Mehdi’s faces when they first saw each other was priceless. As is tradition in Morocco, dates and milk were passed around, which are said to bring good luck and fertility.
The first part of the Sdak was held outside in the beautiful garden. Halfway through the ceremony, where the official marriage contract is signed with the Adoul (Moroccan notary) and witnesses, we were surprised by a quick rain shower. Everyone rushed indoors and the ceremony continued uninterrupted there. They say rain is good luck on a wedding day!
After the ceremony, there was tea, sweets, and dancing. Everyone was excited to celebrate!
Narjiss and Mehdi then went and changed into different outfits for the second half of the evening. Narjiss wore a beautiful kaftan and Mehdi a suit.
And then it was time for more dancing – because really, is it a celebration without dancing?!
Later on, everyone went back outside for family portraits and Mehdi and Narjiss exchanged wedding rings.
We loved the intimate feel of this Drib Sdak and being able to capture the joy and excitement of Mehdi and Narjiss’ marriage! There were so many special moments during this night and we were honored to capture them.

We looked forward to photographing and videoing Mujeer and Sana’s Marrakech wedding for a long time! And it exceeded expectations.
Sana and Mujeer are an incredibly sweet, sincere and warm couple. They met while working in Dubai and for Mujeer, it was love at first sight. After some pursuit by Mujeer, Sana also fell in love. Despite their different backgrounds, Sana is Moroccan and Mujeer is Indian, these two are such a perfect fit and the deep love and respect that they have for each other is so evident.
The entire wedding day Mujeer was just beaming whenever he looked at his bride and Sana absolutely glowed.
Wedding days usually have one or two surprises. This sunny Marrakech Saturday turned into a cold and rainy day a few hours before the wedding. However, they say that rain is lucky for a wedding day! And the rain certainly didn’t put a damper on the celebrations.
Mujeer and Sana’s wedding was held at the Four Seasons Resort in Marrakech. Guests traveled in from India, Dubai, Europe and the US to celebrate with Mujeer and Sana, along with family and friends from all over Morocco.
The Four Seasons Resort has some beautiful locations for photos, even when it’s raining. Before the guests arrived, we did a private session with Mujeer and Sana. Sana wore a beautiful traditional Indian gown and later a kaftan for these photos.
For their wedding, they chose many of the Moroccan traditions like the amaria, presentation of gifts from the groom, the negafas and of course, dresses from different regions of Morocco. They had a live band and later on a DJ. There was traditional Moroccan music, Indian music, and international favorites. Guests burned off all of the delicious food with lots of dancing.
The celebration ended close to dawn with the cutting of the cake. It was an honor to capture Sana and Mujeers special and we wish them all happiness in their life together!
